The International Association for Venice Carnival is a non profit-making association.

Members come from all over the world, but membership is bound to a maximum number that cannot be increased for planning reasons: space in Venetian palaces is rather scarce and does not let us, with many regrets, extend us to an excessive number of members.

Therefore, whoever would like to join, should apply to the executive committee, which will follow all steps for the admission of the new member.

Proceeding is very easy: applicant will be included in a waiting list and will be kept informed, through the programme that the Association forwards, of all events organized.

Of course applicant will be allowed to participate, taking advantage of favourable opportunities, awaiting, as soon as place is vacant, to join by right the Association as a permanent member.

Parade of Nations in Honor of the Consular Corps of Venice

The traditional gondola procession dedicated to the Consular Corps of the city of Venice will take us from the Biennale pier – Ca’ Giustinian (San Marco) – to Ca’ Sagredo for an honorary regatta, the prelude to an exciting concert entitled Arias and Love Duets in Opera for Valentine’s Day, making the evening an unforgettable tribute to Venetian romance. The event will conclude with a celebratory cocktail in the magnificent Grand Music Hall

“In Praise of Folly”

The theme of the event celebrates an authentic and joyful sense of freedom, allowing guests, for one night, to embrace spontaneity and creativity. For 27 years, the Carnival Closing Gala has been held in this magnificent historic palace, adorned with frescoes and illuminated entirely by hundreds of candles in Murano glass chandeliers. This year—one last time—it will again be possible to experience this unique atmosphere: the evening will begin with a welcome aperitif in the entrance hall accompanied by music, followed by a gala dinner on the main floor and, finally, dancing with an open bar and live music.
