AQUEOUS PROSESSION OF THE NATIONS

Venice, in its millenary history has always had a special relation with Its sea.
Excellent defence against the troublesome invasions, it became the way, to go along with fast ships driven from enterprising and brave men, for the conquest of the business with the unknown world.
Everything in Venice happens per water way: the public life of magnificence and the private life of any single citizen or guest of the lagoon city, depends on the transports by boat. How is possible forgetting the famous " Sea Nuptials", ceremony that involved all the venetian people in queue behind the Doge on the Bucintoro, that symbolically tied the city to the waters dominion around itself?
And how is possible forgetting the regattas that gave life and still give life today, the canals full of people that applauded their darlings?

That is why of Nations Procession: a "drive" in gondola through the Canal Grande, principal water way and beating heart with its magnificent palaces faced in honour of Venice Consular Corps.
